“When the atmosphere encourages learning, the learning is inevitable” – Elizabeth Floss. I have over 20 years of experience in the field of education. I have done her Masters in English Literature and i have passionately taught young, bright minds across the country. Being from the defence background, I have had a varied and rich experience of teaching in schools all over India. I have been in leadership positions in various schools such as Rani Lakshmi Bai Public School, Jhansi (UP), Army School (Jhansi), DPS (Jodhpur) and Global Indian International School (Pune). I am one of the Founder member of the Suchitra Academy’s leadership team. I was the Vice Principal of Suchitra Academy and took over the mantle of Principal in March, 2020. I believe that every child has immense potential to excel, given the right environment. I am a strong advocate of the “No Child Left Behind” policy, whether in academics or other school activities. I also believe in keeping myself abreast with the latest trends in education. I have been a part of a few webinars on pertinent topics related to the field of education. I have also recently completed an online course in School Management and Leadership from Harvard University. In my teens, I was a member of the Leo club ( a Lions club youth initiative) I served as a secretary and president of the club. I have always been inclined to social causes and am still associated with some. I am now a member of the Lions club since 2014, and have also served as the Secretary of the club. I am involved in several welfare activities for the benefit of society- the Hunger Relief programs and Organ donation being the prime areas of focus. As an army officer's wife, I have taken part in many welfare services for families of soldiers under the aegis of AWWA, the Army Wives Welfare Association. I am also a member of the Hyderabad Children's Aid Society, an organisation which has a rich legacy of serving orphans and nurtures them to become respectable members of society.

I am passionate about environmental causes and a Lake revival project that I am a part of. I am a nature lover and I go for hikes and treks when time permits.

I also think strongly that education cannot be imparted in the four walls of the classroom. A child has to explore, enquire and be curious about the world around. To satiate a curious mind should be the prime role of a teacher! A teacher has to be a learner first, her patience steadfast and her dedication unparalleled. Under my guidance, the teachers are encouraged to adapt and adopt new practices that acknowledge both the art and science of learning. They understand that the essence of education is a close relationship between a knowledgeable, caring adult and a secure, motivated child. They grasp that their most important role is to get to know each student as an individual in order to comprehend his or her unique needs, learning style, social and cultural background, interests, and abilities. I believe that with massive revolutions in knowledge, information technology, and public demand for better learning, this kind of restructuring is imperative.
