Bio
David joined SYPartners in 2004 after twelve years in various leadership roles in marketing, product management, and as a founder of two companies. At SYP, David has worked with CEOs and executive teams at Starbucks, Yahoo!, Sundance, Dell, Apple, Facebook, and HP.
SYPartners (www.sypartners.com) is a firm steeped in the belief that transformation of individuals, teams, and institutions requires equal parts empathy, aspiration, and a bravery to act. Because the art of transformation requires many different perspectives, the firm consists of strategists, psychologists, leadership development experts, designers, and application developers. SYPartners has offices in New York and San Francisco.
SYPartners Consulting's work has been recognized in The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company Magazine, and Fortune Magazine for its uniquely human-centered approach. The firm fuses systems thinking and creativity to help organizations in times of seismic change—the formulation of a new business strategy, a merger or acquisition, the rise of a new CEO, the evolution of a brand, the return-to-greatness journeys after an industry shock.
In 2011, SYPartners launched a sister company called Unstuck (www.unstuck.com)—dedicated to taking the 20 years of knowledge the firm's gained about transformation and bring it to everyday people. The first offering is an iPad-based app that helps people find a way forward, when they don't know how to go forward. Praised for its design and its effectiveness, the app debuted to critical acclaim by Oprah, The New Yorker, Lifehacker, Coolhunting, and others. Slated for release in 2012, SYPartners' next offering will be a suite of collaborative tools focused on helping managers and teams perform at their best.
In March 2012, David will be joining Maveron (www.maveron.com) as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence.
