Bio
Andy Zimmerman is President of frog; he drives frog’s strategy and oversees its worldwide operations. Andy has a strong track record of innovation through product and service development, new business formation, and strategic partnering in both large global and early stage companies.
Prior to frog, Andy started up Accenture Mobility Services, which focuses on telematics, mobile commerce/payments and machine-to-machine opportunities. Earlier, Andy led Accenture New Businesses, where he managed a portfolio of startup businesses in digital media distribution, web analytics, wellness coaching, energy management, and mobility services. Previously, Andy ran Accenture’s communications industry practice.
Prior to joining Accenture, Andy was Chief Executive Officer of Predictive
Systems, a technology services company. Before Predictive, Andy
Zimmerman was managing director and chief operating officer of idealab! New York. idealab! creates, builds, and operates new companies, having launched over 100 companies since the mid-nineties. Andy was responsible for all of the common New York resources including web design, marketing, HR, legal, and finance.
Before idealab! Andy was the Global Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers' E-
Business Consulting Practice. Earlier, he was the managing partner for the Information, Communications and Entertainment management consulting practice in the Americas.
In the early eighties, Andy helped to conceive and start up a joint venture— RCA/Columbia Pictures International Homevideo—which ultimately became Sony Video.
Andy received a B.A. in English from Haverford College and subsequently won a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship during which he traveled with circuses in Europe, writing about the experience. He received a master’s degree from New York University Business School.
