Bio
Bridget Sheils joined The Mill NY as Executive Producer of Digital Interactive. Her role encompasses identifying, implementing and managing digital media initiatives for The Mill’s brand and agency partners. She works closely with The Mill’s team of creative directors, artists, technologists and producers to concept, develop and execute those initiatives. She is a fulcrum in developing new production partnerships in the digital space.
Sheils started her multi-media career in visual communication and brand creation. She learned film production by working with Panavision (including an internship with prolific cinematographer László Kovács) and eventually joined VFX/editorial boutique Sol Designfx. In 2002, the Chicago native was tapped to assist the Oprah online staff with a redesign of Oprah.com. Sheils’ background includes creative posts at McElroy Advertising L.A., Omnicom’s Direct Partners, and Yahoo!Music.
Bridget began her lifelong commitment to the promotion of symbiotic relationships amongst human beings and with the environment while earning a B.A. at the Evergreen State College (WA), an innovator in interdisciplinary education and one of the country’s greenest colleges. While in school, her summer work studies included a Permaculture project in the foothills of the Alps that pursued methods of growing food applicable to Sub-Saharan regions, a nature camp for city youth in Italy, self-esteem training through arts education in economically challenged public schools on Chicago’s South Side and, after graduation, volunteering as an ESL teacher in Chicago’s largest Latino community, Pilsen.
Bridget presently resides in New York.
