Maria is an artist and educator who is fascinated with connections. Maria does large scale projects that involve hundreds of people actively participating in order to create a collaborative work of art. From meeting a new person every day for a year to chronicling the journeys of a "tribe" of burners, she uses technology to turn connections into art. Maria is currently the Director of 72U, a program designed to cultivate leaders in the creative industry, housed within 72andSunny. She nurtures an interdisciplinary team of talent and gets to see creativity come to life in all different types of mediums.
