Bio
Anthony was born in Boulder, CO in the mid-70s to a couple of hippies who weren't quite ready to be parents. Anthony grew up in Seattle, WA, raised mostly by a single father who was a traveling salesman. After nearly failing the 6th grade when his desk was moved into the classroom closet to stop him from disrupting class, he spent his middle and high school years in a British-style boarding school in Victoria, B.C. before going to college in Walla Walla, WA and majoring in theatre. After graduating college, he moved to New York City where he had a successful career as a stage and production manager for Broadway and Off-Broadway productions as well as corporate events like NY Fashion Week.
In 2006, he moved back to Seattle to start a family and get a "real" job. For approximately the next 10 years he worked in Marketing and Communications for various regional arts and cultural organizations.
Anthony joined the Bezos Family Foundation in 2017 to help Vroom reach parents and caregivers through a diverse mix of activation channels and branded collaborations. Prior to joining BFF, Anthony was Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Wellspring Family Services, a 125-year-old nonprofit organization in Seattle, WA serving children and families experiencing trauma related to homelessness and domestic violence. Anthony was initially introduced to Vroom during his time at Wellspring, an early adopter of Vroom since it’s 2014 pilot in King County, WA.
Anthony holds a hybrid master’s degree from New York University with an emphasis on marketing, communications, entrepreneurship, and hybrid business models. Anthony lives in Seattle on the same street he grew up on with his wife, two kids, a Formosan Mountain Dog, and a nearly 40-year-old VW Westfalia camper van that he can be found tinkering on most weekends.

An idea worth spreading
Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it's all over.
