Bio
B.D.: Sep 11th, 1962. Blood Type:BI majored the Science and Engineering in the Chuo University and Master degree on agriculture in Tohoku University. After the graduation, I worked in “Kao Co., Ltd. Corporation” at first and moved to the company called Fujicco Co., Ltd. corporation in 1995, the year of Kobe earthquake held.Fujicco Co., is the food manufacture born in Kobe and established by my father Hachiro Yamagishi in 1960, and it attains the 50th anniversary on Nov. 7th, 2010. We have been producing and selling the boiled beans, kelp food boiled down in soy called “Omamesan” and “Fujicconi”, the pickles, delicatessen, fermented soybeans and so on. All these food are the typical Japanese traditional food, which support the Japanese healthy life. In addition, we have been producing and selling the healthy dessert commodity such as Nata de Coco, the mango pudding and the Caspian sea yogurt. I like to play golf. Unfortunately I play about once a month these days because of my business trip. As a professional in the healthy food company, I would like to secure enough time for more exercise.I love to eat, too. It is my pleasure searching many kinds of restaurants with my wife and friends and trying new tastes. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Monaco and Paris, so I went to the restaurant Louis XV produced by Alan Ducas in Hotel de Paris in Monaco, and Arpage produced by Alan Passard in Paris. I enjoyed them very much. The atmosphere of each restaurants was completely different but common in the good ingredients, especially many kinds of vegetables. I was moved that the vegetables played the leading role but meat in French food. The Japanese food culture converting to West now has brought the social problem, the increase of metabolic syndrome. The great chefs in the world, on the other hand, have been using the Japanese traditional technology and material. This fact makes me clear that we should learn and bring our good traditional Japanese food culture back to our society. We study that the Japanese food habit in 1970’s is considered to be the ideal meal on nutrition balance. Compared to that time, we take too much animal protein and fat.The luck of the carbohydrate and vegetables bring the life habit illness or extra troop rapidly. Now the average life it exceeded to 80 years old: however, the healthy life spending to be said, that 6 years shorter than average life, which means we spend 6 years in unhealthy age (sickness) to die to reach. This fact changes the life yourself but also the family and people around and effects mentally, physically, and economically. Therefore, I think extending healthy life even in 1 mins is important socially and privately. As a person handling the Japanese traditional food, my mission is to contribute to this issue. I have given a dream by handed down the Japanese traditional taste, protect the health of Japanese and introducing this good food to the people all over the world to create the healthy world. FOR TED, I am looking forward to meeting many people. Since I spend my time in the limited business industry with narrow range, I would like to have this opportunity to open my eyes to the world and hope it help my idea much wider and softer. In addition I try to have time to communicate with people from the different background.
