David Condon

As Development Producer for NOVA, David Condon develops new programs for the PBS’s flagship science series. Among his credits are major NOVA specials including School of the Future, The Elegant Universe, Einstein’s Big Idea, This Emotional Life, Making Stuff, Life Beyond Earth, The Fabric of the Cosmos and Making North America. Right now, David is developing NOVA episodes on prediction and statistics, a two-hour climate change special, and a program on the upcoming total solar eclipse that will be broadcast just hours after the event plus a miniseries on the human body. Since 2012, Condon has also spearheaded the creation of NOVA Labs – a free, online platform that engages middle and high school students (more than 3.5 million users to date) in authentic scientific exploration through games and research projects. Condon began his career working at WGBH for the PBS history series American Experience. Before co-producing the 2002 film Jimmy Carter, his other production credits included Ulysses S. Grant, MacArthur, and The Kennedys. In the mid-1990s he was Associate Producer for KQED/San Francisco’s Neighborhoods series, including the Peabody Award-winning film The Castro. An honors graduate of Harvard University, Condon lives in Newton, MA with his wife and three children.
