About Rosemary

Bio

For 7+ years, I've been the editor-in-chief of Good Housekeeping, in charge of the conversation with 25 million print and digital readers, the 6 labs that comprise the Good Housekeeping Research Institute, and the Good Housekeeping Seal. It's been great, but I'm about to leave this job and, most immediately, am heading to Ethiopia in January with EngenderHealth, an non-profit I'm on the board of. Previously: -Editor-in-Chief/SVP of Prevention magazine -Director of Time Inc.'s websites (Time.com, People.com, Fortune.com, InStyle.com, etc.) -Senior-level editor at Self, Travel & Leisure, Working Woman magazines.

I'm passionate about

Helping women's voices be heard. Great books that make me forget I'm supposed to be sleeping. My 9-year-old daughter and uber-husband.

An idea worth spreading

Recently heard Michael Gould, CEO of Bloomingdales, say this: "Leadership is trust. When you have leadership without trust, you get compliance, but not commitment." Love that.
