Bio
Juan Camilo “JC” Sanchez is a professional technologist, leader, entrepreneur, strategist, and creative with experience in music business management, marketing, and information technology; striving to positively impact people and the world through music and technology.
Before starting his current role as Strategic Partner Manager for Music Artists in North America at Meta, where he is the link between the needs of Meta’s music partners and the capabilities that can be built across products in Meta’s family of apps (including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus), JC worked a number of years as an Artist Relations and Marketing Manager for Sony Music Entertainment US Latin where he led projects by Romeo Santos, Marc Anthony, Bomba Estéreo, Nicky Jam, Farruko, and more, including the notable meteoric rise of Camilo and Nicki Nicole; before this he was General Manager and A&R of Art House Records, a state-of-the-art recording studio and creative home base for artists like Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Will Smith, and Alejandro Sanz, with an accompanying independent record label he helped launch alongside esteemed GRAMMY winning producer Julio Reyes Copello.
JC was born in the Dominican Republic, and was raised in Colombia until age 12 when he immigrated to the United States with his family. He attended Florida State University where he received a B.S. in Information, Communication, and Technology. He played tenor saxophone for the FSU marching band, and began his music industry career recording concerts for the FSU College of Music.
Outside of music, JC enjoys exploring new countries, finding the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants in every city he’s in, playing video games, and reading.
