Bio
Richard Ray Perez overseas all aspects of the TED Prize Filmmaker Award, a Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program (DFP) initiative with TED. The first project in this initiative is a short film about 2013 Ted Prize winner Sugata Mitra. Perez also oversees Stories of Change, a DFP initiative in partnership with the Skoll Foundation. The initiative includes a slate of ten documentary films, impact campaigns and convenings that harness the power of storytelling to advance the work of leading social entrepreneurs who are solving major global problems. Perez is a graduate of Harvard University and is the director of the upcoming documentary film "Cesar's Last Fast." Prior to joining the DFP staff he was an Executive Producer for Brave New Films.
