Although I have a terminal degree in Graphic Design I am seeking an Ed.D. I will defend my dissertation August 2014. My studies currently focus on higher education leadership and first generation colleges student experience with visual literacy through photography. I seek future arts-based research opportunities with underrepresented populations. I have always been fascinated by the learning process and strive to add more depth to the research community while bridging the connection between actual artists and arts-based research. Creativity allows students of all ages to open their minds and harness educational power in a personal way. I am grateful for the opportunity to share this process with others.
