Leticia Ferrer travels the world to experience the solar systems' unique event, Total Solar Eclipses. She travels the world to stand for seconds and sometimes minutes in the moon's shadow. To date she's seen 17 Total Solar Eclipse across the planet and 2 annular eclipses. Her life goal is to see every Total Solar Eclipse on the face of the planet until she does not have the ability to do so. Then it’ll be time to move to the next life. She funds this hobby this by keeping a day job as a Release Train Engineer for an International Telecommunications company. Leticia lives in Farmers Branch, Texas, with her husband, Daniel Brookshier, and their two dogs, Lazer and Kitty.

For Total Solar Eclipses, we know the science, the orbital mechanics and the math, knowing this does not reduce the wonder and majesty of standing in the shadow. The world around us is like that, the more we learn of how things work, we more we are in awe with the world.

I found a lot of inspiration from what an attending local TEDx Events. In 2016 I shared my passion on two TEDx Stages sharing the wonder of experiencing a Total Solar Eclipse. Encouraging the TEDx audiences to see one for themselves, in the US on August 21, 2017.
