Hello! I’m Assel and I have been a member of a core team which have been organising TEDxAstana since 2016. So far our team had organised 5 conferences in Astana.

I love people. I truly believe that each individual is a unique book full of wisdom and knowledge. I’m very grateful to life for giving me opportunity to know, meet and learn about amazing people that ordinary make this world extraordinary. In addition, I’m also passionate about finding and learning new things, new ideas and new creations. I also do like art, hope to learn about it more in the future. With all these incredible thinkers around us I’m also interested in psychology, especially in the issues related to our ways of thinking, expressing feelings and interactions.

With all these changes, challenges and uncertainty around us the only thing that in my opinion will be important to spread is human interaction and kindness. As humans we have unique opportunity to unite with other and make this world a better place for all without any discrimination by gander, age, ethnicity, religion and other sorts of differentiation… I believe that changes for good are worth spreading

I have joint current team of volunteers who organise conference in 2016. And since then I have been involved in processes of preparation and organisation. In the team I’m responsible for organisation of registration of participants prior to event and at the event itself. I also coordinate team of junior volunteers who usually help us within two days before and during conference. Junior volunteers are usually university students who are very passionate about learning, they help with logistical issues, registration, activities with audience and lots of other stuff. Best part of being in the team of TEDxAstana is to be able meet new people. I love connecting with others and sharing experiences and ideas. The TEDxAstana conference is annually attended by more than 300 participants, including people of science, medicine, technology, education, business, government officials, artists and proactive citizens and guests from all over Kazakhstan. Within the framework of the TEDxAstana conference, in addition to the speeches of the speakers, art exhibitions, workshops, performances by independent theatres and musical groups are usually organised too. I just love being a part of it.

Playing volleyball, cuz I’m only 160cm tall ) I used to be in the high school team for volleyball so not so many people now know that I play it very well.
