A passionate educator, I am privileged to have worked with some of the best and brightest minds of the current generation. I currently strive to bring innovate approaches to educators to promote exceptional learning that prepares young people for an unknown future. As a former teacher of Ethics, Global Issues, Government and History, a Speech and Debate Coach, Model UN Advisor, World Affairs Council Facilitator, and Student Council Advisor, I have taught, learned from, planned with, counselled, travelled with, and smiled upon over 1000 amazing young people living from Maine, USA to to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As advisor for the first TEDxISKL, I learned not only many 'ideas worth spreading' - but also the power of young people to accomplish feats beyond our wildest imaginations.

An amazing young High School Senior came to me with a vision. She saw our school hosting a TEDx that would engage the entire school community and the larger diverse international community in which we live. She found a former TED speaker and dedicated community member, and asked if I'd serve as guide and mentor as she put together a team of over 40 students, an international speaker list, and a community of over 500 people to celebrate 'ideas worth spreading.' My years in hospitality management and event planning (prior to becoming an educator) made the development of TEDxISKL and the experience itself both energizing and fulfilling -- I can't wait 'till the next one!
