Principal of the experimental San Francisco design studio Mike and Maaike Inc., Mike Simonian offers an unorthodox perspective. Mike likes to bend the rules of physics, while with a true California spirit, combines optimism, critical thinking, and truth as natural elements of his work. Mike's designs have received numerous patents and recognition including ID magazine's best of category and inclusion in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Mike studied industrial design in the U.S. and in Europe at the Art Center College of Design.
