Ayanda Fali

Ayanda Fali is a Pan African Storyteller and lecturer in Live Performance. Fali holds an MFA in Motion Picture from Afda South Africa and attained a postgraduate certificate in Film Studies from Filmakademie Baden-Württermberg, Germany. Her current work is titled We Are Made of Beauty and Compost, inspired by the regenerative process of composting. This mix media compilation explores how myths, traditions and indigenous knowledge passed down by matriarchs in Southern Africa, can be layered and reimagined alongside contemporary experiences and diasporic narratives.

Humanity.

We are inheritors of the Earth through ancient knowledge and indigenous practices. Creativity flows through every fibre of our being beckoning is to regenerate this knowledge and pass it to future generations.
