Matheus Lima is an M.S. Electrical Engineering candidate at the University of Bridgeport. In his first year as a graduate student, Matheus was the receiver of the University’s 2019 Academic Achievement Award in M.S Electrical Engineering, an award that encourages academic excellence by recognizing contributions to the field of Electrical Engineering. As the president of the IEEE Branch of UB, Matheus coordinated the implementation of the highly successful UB Hackathon, an intercollegiate competition focused on multidisciplinary collaboration. An advocate for sustainable development, Mathus Lima has an extensive history working with green energy and energy efficiency. Matheus believes that a sustainable and economically viable approach to infrastructure development is essential for a safe and just future for humanity.
