Bio

Deborah Freer currently works at Houston Methodist Hospital Texas Medical Center, Design and Construction as a Project Manager for almost years 5 years. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a BS in Architecture and has 20 years of experience in managing projects and overseeing the programming, space planning process and construction. Her experience has ranged from managing the DFW Airport International Terminal D Concessions and has been primarily in Healthcare. One of her more recent projects is a partnership between Houston Methodist and Texas A&M to design and build the EnMed College of Medicine Engineering which is an innovate dual Medical and Engineering degree to produce a “Physicianeer”. She is currently working on an innovative roof top garden with an art feature in conjunction with Texas A&M which is designed to provide alternate treatment to oncology patients to diminish pain and anxiety during treatment and reduce pain medication.
