Bio
Seth Fairchild is a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University Honors Program and a former member of SE’s Native American Council. After finishing his degree, he worked as an SE admissions counselor before coming to the Choctaw Nation in 2008 to work for the Success Through Academic Recognition (STAR) program. Preserving “our unique heritage is a major personal goal” for Seth, and so he is gratified by the work the Chahta Foundation does in recording the stories of the tribal elders, many of whom are first-speakers. He also passed down traditional native dancing to younger Choctaws.
