Chris is currently working as a Math Instructional Coach and Curriculum Specialist, supporting teachers in grades 6-12 improve their math teaching practice through observation, coaching conversations, analyzing student work, co-planning lessons and providing feedback on unit or daily lesson plans and assessments. As of now, he works at several campuses in the Alliance College-Ready Public Schools charter network. Chris also works as the 7th grade math lead across the Alliance, writing summative and formative tests, instructional guides, pacing guides, and creating and implementing professional development sessions. On the side, Chris works part-time providing professional development sessions for Teach for America as well as curates TEDxLoyolaMarymountU, which is in its 3rd year.

In my 2nd year of teaching at a struggling school in Los Angeles, my colleague Jon invited me to help plan a TEDx conference so that we might start to broaden our impact in education beyond our classroom walls. In 2013, our team hosted the first annual TEDxLoyolaMarymountU: Better Together, held in LMU's Murphy Hall. 250 education enthusiasts came to see 12 speakers and 3 performers from across the country. A huge success, our most popular video garnered about 16,000 views and got rave reviews from our audience. In 2014, I remained as an Advisor to the organizing team and supported their marketing and sales functions. The event experienced struggles in its relationship with LMU, which I had to step in to adjust the financial structure of the event and to convince the board that the event was still worth having. In 2015, I am the Curator and established a formal partnership with LMU, poised for our best event yet. This year's theme is 360: Learning from every Angle.

Music- I played French Horn for 10 years and picked up Trumpet and Clarinet on my own. I was selected for prestigious groups, such as New Jersey Regional, All-State and All-Eastern Band/Orchestra.
