Bio
When people are in frustrating situations with others, I help them get un-frustrated. I help mend disconnects, bridge communication gaps, and help people play well together.
Here's a bio:
"
Misha Glouberman helps people connect authentically. He works as a consultant, facilitator, coach, and speaker, as an expert in communication and collaboration
He is the author, with Sheila Heti, of the book The Chairs Are Where the People Go, which the New Yorker named as one of its top nonfiction books of 2011 and described as "a triumph of what might be called conversational philosophy."
He hosts Trampoline Hall, a monthly barroom non-expert lecture series that sells out every show. His Terrible Noises for Beautiful People is a series of participatory sound events for non-musicians, which has been presented in partnership with Nuit Blanche Toronto and the Long Now Foundation among others.
I'm passionate about
Helping people understand others better, and be better understood.
An idea worth spreading
Think of the collection of your most strongly-held beliefs. Now think of what percentage of all humans hold exactly that specific set of strongly-held beliefs. If that percentage is very very small (as it probably is), what is more likely - that you are lucky enough to be among the very tiny percentage of people who are right about everything? Or that some of your most strongly-held beliefs are wrong?
