I'm passionate about
I’m most passionate about teaching Mariachi (Mexican folk Music) and Orchestra (sacred music) music - two very different musical styles. I was fortunate to grow up by the Mexican and American border, giving me the opportunity to learn both musical styles. Now, I have the honor to teach these two musical styles in a title 1 school district, whose student population is 98% Hispanic, 97% low social economic status, and over 90% first-generation American.
