I live and thrive at the intersection of innovation and learning. I am not the typical CIO - with a Ph.D. in Education, I have a passion for technology integration into curriculum, incorporating other learning innovations like design thinking and working with girls. I have a growth mind-set that allows me to analyze this intersection to envision how technology can support enhanced and connected learning. I love being a leader and studying leadership. I believe in empowering teams and recognizing people for their hard work. My goal is to leverage my strengths (Strategic, Individualization, Achiever, Input, Activator) to help my school, colleagues and students achieve personal, professional, and organizational excellence. Proud winner of 2013 Non-Profit CIO of the Year from the Pittsburgh Technology Council. I have experience sourcing, selecting and executing large-scale technology deployments that support next generation learning and have a proven track record of success. Most importantly, I build and sustain relationships with faculty, staff, and external partners to facilitate curricular innovation and advocate for new ideas. I gravitate towards working on process improvement, love to solve problems and bring together teams. I am a big picture thinker that can also be operational in nature. I am a specialist in blended and online learning and have served as a Trustee for the Online School for Girls, ISTE's Independent Educators Special Interest Group and as a Consortium Member for the Center for STEM Education for Girls. To give back as a role model for girls, I co-coach the STEAM Powered Girls: an all-girls First Lego League team.

Remaking Learning: exploring gamification of curriculum and game design to teach computer science, maker spaces, design thinking, cloud managed software/WAP's, augmented reality.

Piano and fine arts - I took piano lessons for almost ten years and won scholastic art awards in high school.
