I founded my business 20 years ago in Southern California. We build a Workforce Automation solution that is used by State, Local County, City and Municipal Government Agencies across North America. We are working with clients to implement new paradigms for managing the work of government using the Balanced Scorecard and detailed activity tracking. Our products are tools used by smart governments that are trying to work more efficiently under a challenging budget environment. I enjoy the technology business because it is constantly changing and is an outlet for my creative skills and allows me to find new ways to apply new technologies to real world business problems. We've recently created an Artificial Intelligence engine to optimize complex scheduling and union pay rules.

Be an informed citizen, vote for pragmatic and activist officials that will try to run the government more like a business. This means customer service is measured, not just talked about. Where the discussion is not just about the available budget but productivity and what we accomplish with the money expended. This novel approach is changing governments for the better one City at a time.

TED events are like an extra week of vacation. I always return with more energy and creativity from each. Love the Global Conferences to new and interesting places like Scotland, Brazil and Africa. I hope the next one is Dubai.

Does not apply. I tell everyone everything they need to know about me, often without being asked. Shyness is not my problem.
