Bio

Japan native, educated both in Japan and the US and bi-coastal all my professional life. Served as a corporate officer in the global semiconductor industry as a senior executive for over 30 years while leading D&I initiatives, Women's leadership development and CSR activities in a corporate environment. Have been active in board services at for-profit and non-profit organizations as well as at government bodies in Japan. Throughout my corporate career, I learned about the power of business as well as the areas for improvement for today's capitalism. I founded a nonprofit called Torrey Project with my business partners which focuses on re-imagining capitalism through education, mentoring and investing in young social entrepreneurs who strive to build highly profitable, successful and impactful businesses while addressing social issues at the same time. We provide incubator sessions free of charge while making efforts to focus on under-served segments of entrepreneurs including women. We have an audacious goal to create a global network and ecosystem that would help create impactful social businesses globally with solid partnerships with financial markets and investors.

I'm passionate about

Leaving a better world to the next generations; Transforming capitalism and financial markets; Awareness and Accountability; Women's leadership; Global Community

An idea worth spreading

Power of creating a more comprehensive ecosystem in the space of conscious business practices vs competing for best practice and recognition - we have to stop competing, we have to connect for a sea change on a global scale!
