I'm passionate about

Changing behaviour so that 9 billion of us can survive and thrive....call it social marketing or sustainable behaviour change.

An idea worth spreading

How on Earth can we survive and thrive? There are 11bn galaxies. There are 200bn stars in our galaxy. The earth is 13.7bn years old. People have been around 250,000 years. The earth could last another 13bn years. But, there are more people around (currently 7bn). We are living longer (over 60's will double from 11% to 22% by 2050). This all means demand for energy could double by 2050. Up to 7bn could face water scarcity by 2050. Some say we'll use as much food in the next 40 years as the whole of history. We are a very small species with a unique place in space and time. But we have a big risk and a big opportunity. As 43 of the world's 100 biggest economic entities are businesses, change will fall to business. That means companies defining sustainable business plans - your own burning platform, your preferred future operating environment and your transformation plan. It also means changing what people do- fortunately the discipline of social marketing can help achieve change at scale
