About Adib

Bio

I’m Adib Ayay from Morocco. I’m a student at the African Leadership Academy in Johannesburg, South Africa. I study entrepreneurial leadership, African studies, economics and mathematics. I am the Chief Executive Officer of Footprints, a student run business that produces branded products, and the founder of Fair Farming. Fair Farming is an initiative that helps farmers derive maximum value from their products by cutting middlemen. FFarming uses three different methods to achieve its mission: mFarming, uFarming and cFarming. • mFarming (mobile Faming) uses ubiquitous technology like SMS services to provide useful information, like market prices or weather forecast, to smallholder farmers. • uFarming (united Farming) is based on the belief that union is strength. uFarming encourages and helps farmers, in the same region, that produce the same products to gather under a single cooperative so that they can influence the market prices and therefore increase their profit margin. • cFarming (consultancy Farming) ensures that agricultural cooperatives are sustainable and profitable by helping them find and engage in new markets and develop value added products and effective marketing strategies.
