Bio
Dr. Trillion Small is a TEDx speaker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and Ph.D. in Clinical Counseling. In her TEDx talk, “Overcoming the Fear of Love,” she unpacks the neuroscience and psychology behind emotional avoidance and why many struggle to give or receive love.
She is the founder of Trillion Institute, where she delivers trauma-informed leadership development, wellness programs, and mental performance coaching for entrepreneurs, executives, and athletes. Dr. Trillion served as the Mental Performance Coach for the Dallas Jackals Major League Rugby team and has coached high performers across industries including sports, business, and the arts.
Dr. Trillion also holds a Global Executive MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where she also served as VP of External Relations for the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) Club. She previously taught in the Behavioral & Brain Sciences Department at the University of Texas at Dallas and is the author of six books.
In addition to being a TEDx speaker, she was the Founder and Lead Organizer of TEDxFrisco in Frisco, Texas, from 2019 to 2022, curating conversations that inspired community impact. She was recently honored as Female Entrepreneur of the Year (USA) by The Entrepreneur Village in Nigeria.
