Bio

Courtney Reum is the founder of VeeV, the World’s First Açaí Spirit and the first green alcohol brand. Açaí (pronounced ah-SIGH-ee) is the exotic tasting Brazilian national fruit popularized by surfers and sports enthusiasts, and is thought to be the healthiest fruit on the planet by the likes of Oprah Winfrey who recently named açaí her #1 superfood. In the spirit of allowing consumers to enjoy tonight and save tomorrow, VeeV donates $1 per bottle sold to Rainforest preservation through The Sustainable Açaí Project and is proud to be the only certified carbon neutral spirits company in the world. One of a handful of high-profile young entrepreneurs focused on increasing eco-awareness and social responsibility among 20- and 30-something consumers, Courtney conceived the idea to develop “a better way to drink” after noticing what he perceived to be a lack of differentiated products in the marketplace and the desire to create something that would better one’s life, conscience and ultimately their cocktail. Courtney launched VeeV after a successful career at Goldman Sachs as an Investment Banker in New York and Sydney, Australia. While at Goldman Sachs, Courtney worked on what is still the largest consumer products merger in history (Procter & Gamble - Gillette) while gaining valuable experience in the spirits industry working with clients such as Fortune Brands (maker of Jim Beam) and Vin & Sprit (Absolut). In addition, he also advised a number of upstart companies such as Under Armour and Vitamin Water. Courtney is a graduate of Columbia University in New York City and holds a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy with distinction.
