Business leader

At work - I am a business technology leader in a global brand, where technology is undergoing a complete transformation. I am responsible for working with each business unit across the Group, looking at ways that technology can solve business problems or power opportunities for the Group to be more successful. The team bring design thinking, business knowledge, enterprise thinking, user experience, project, programme and portfolio management skills together to make business benefits become a reality. We are busy driving a new leadership approach, servant leadership as part of our scaled agile implementation. I love the fusion of people, business and technology and the challenge of making things happen. I have been at Emirates since 2001, in a variety of business and IT roles. I recently completed a 4 year large and complex business and technology change programme. Prior to Emirates I spent most of my career in the travel industry in both business and IT roles, with a 2 year stint in a major UK retail bank in a business programme management role. I have a Masters in Business Administration and more than 25 year’s work experience. I have 3 amazing children, have done my first Triathlon and recently been learning to play the piano. I am also a volunteer in the Emirates humanitarian programme, Emcare which is there to provide support and care in case of an airline crisis.

I believe that everything is possible

I have been inspired by my friend's involvement in TEDX, attending and suporting her through 3 in Dubai. I am in awe of those who have a strong enough story to speak and share. I have listened to some TED talks that are fundamental and impactful. I think i have a talk in me, i think i have a story, its not clear yet what it is!
