About Jane

Bio

Jane Eagleson, Meyer Sound, Director, Communications and Artist Relations Jane leads global Communications and Artist Relations for Meyer Sound, the Berkeley, CA based manufacturer of sound systems and acoustic technology for a range of applications from large scale touring and festivals to corporate and other installations. In her position at Meyer Sound, Jane is responsible for a wide range of global festival activations for Meyer Sound aimed at growing the Company’s presence internationally. A highlight of her communications brief includes production of “Sound Matters to Artists,” a Meyer Sound video series that has featured such artists as Marc Anthony, Lukas Graham, Devon Allman, Metallica’s James Hetfield, and Journey’s Neal Schon. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a BA in journalism, Jane began her career as a journalist but shortly transitioned into communications. She spent much of her professional career living overseas as a top communications professional in the sailing world – handling premiere events such as America’s Cup and Volvo Ocean Race and working closely with Larry Ellison and his BMW Oracle Racing team. For the America’s Cup, Jane managed a $10,000,000 project including building an entertainment pavilion on the San Francisco waterfront and spearheading a concert series launched by Grammy Award-winning artist Sting. Live music is integral to Jane’s life and she has attended hundreds of concerts around the world during her travels. This love of music was what initially drew her to give up her life on the water and join the team at Meyer Sound. Coincidentally she has a particular love for the music of the Grateful Dead, a band with a long history of working with Meyer Sound. When not at one of many festivals representing Meyer Sound, Jane can be usually be found at a club or venue near her home in the Haight Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco.
