I am an English teacher in Roseville, California.

Human dignity, kindness, and compassion. Teaching and learning. Making the world big enough so that everyone fits; calling bullshit on discrimination, bigotry, and oppression.

I have been an avid TED viewer for a decade and a few years back, I began to study TED talks as unique and captivating genre for the classroom. For the last two years, I have included a TED talk unit at the end of my Junior level class as a way to engage students in their own "ideas worth spreading."
