Bio
During the day I work as a Senior Project Executive for a healthcare consultancy providing high level project support on a range of international projects. I have had the opportunity of spending several months working in New Zealand, and recently graduated with a Psychology BSc (Hons) from the University of Derby.
I enjoy giving something back to the community, and I do this by volunteering my spare time as a youth mentor. I am a qualified Youth Mental Health First Aider.
I particularly enjoy cooking and the beautiful area that I live in.
I'm passionate about
I’m particularly passionate about raising awareness of mental health issues and ending the stigma surrounding mental conditions.
The TED story
I have listened to many TED talks, but one of the first talks I listened to was by poet Lemn Sissay, “A Child of the State”, and the affect his early childhood had on him. It helped me to think about my own childhood, and to appreciate that whatever life throws at you, you can achieve anything you want to.
