About Nilakshi

Bio

Nilakshi wants to live in a world filled with love, laughter, and passion, read books that come bundled with extra dark chocolate, and a force field around her keyboard that repels cats and guns. Nilakshi Goswami, a Fulbright Nehru Postdoctoral Fellow 2020-21 in Boston University, is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English, The Assam Royal Global University. An alumnus of Gargi College, University of Delhi, she completed her Bachelors and Masters in English Literature in 2014. Nilakshi received her PhD in 2018 from The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. Her research focuses on Gender and Sexuality Studies, Comics and Graphic Novels, and the ethics of Visual Studies. Nilakshi has been a resource person in credible national and international platforms, including University of Kiel, University of Chicago, University of Innsbruck, University of Connecticut, IIT Chennai, to name a few, where she spoke on both literary and social concerns. Her work has been published in various national dailies and weeklies and in academic journals and anthologies of repute. Apart from this, she is also a recipient of the Sahapedia-UNESCO Fellowship 2018. When Nilakshi is not writing, she can be found travelling around the world solo, or roaming around Guwahati in city buses, or feeding her fetish for handmade papers, typewriters and ink pens. An enthusiast supporting small, independent, and indigenous businesses, she considers herself as a scrunched up napkin with a recyclable dreams.
