Zeyad Mahmoud

Zeyad Mahmoud is a multidisciplinary researcher, lecturer and course coordinator. He is currently a Cotutelle PhD candidate in health innovation at Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia) and in Management at the University of Nantes (Nantes, France). He holds a bachelor in business administration and a Masters of Research in Management and business consulting from IAE-Nantes School of Economics and Management in France. Zeyad has extensive experience working in international and multidisciplinary environments and organisations. He has lived, studied and worked in Egypt, the United States, the republic of the Congo, France and Australia. Currently in Sydney, Zeyad is working at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation. He is working on a transdisciplinary multinational project at the intersection of Big History, health systems research, management and organisational studies. His latest research looks at innovative ways of overcoming the challenges facing health systems in the Anthropocene. He is adopting a holistic approach to research and is heavily mobilising qualitative research methods to understand how healthcare professionals relate to new industrialised models of care delivery. Zeyad is a co-organiser of TEDx Macquarie University 2019. He is working with his team on encouraging more cross-disciplinary interactions within the University while building a sustainable, and internationally recognised idea-sharing platform for the local community. Overall, Zeyad is particularly interested in advancing ideas and conducting research that drives process and policy changes with the aim of enhancing work environments, productivity, wellbeing and delivering sustainable organisational outcomes and community benefits.
