Bio
In my early career I worked as a UK-based freelance camera technician and occasionally as director in the UK film and television industry across most production categories. Later, I was a Sector Manager for Screen Yorkshire, one of the UK’s regional screen media development agencies.
My doctoral research (PhD University of Leeds) involved fieldwork at film festivals in eight countries, leading to published work on film-philosophy, mobile filmmaking, and film festivals studies, and I have served as a judge at a number of international film festivals. Having wide teaching experience in Film Studies and Media Studies, I am currently an Assistant Professor in the MCM department at GUST.
