Bio
I've always been an explorer--from the days as a tot, running barefoot through the woods of rural Ohio, to now, as a multi-media storyteller and social change emissary. Through work as TV Host, Docu-series Producer, EMMY-Nominated Camera Op, Writer, and Photographer, I regularly drop myself into faraway lands to relate their stories to outsiders. So far, I've explored all seven continents and nearly 70 nations, telling the world's stories along the way.
Highlights include: being recruited to join the Explorers Club as a Fellow National; teaming up with the UN Refugee Agency as a public-facing Refugee Advocate; shooting and producing for Nat Geo, Discovery Channel, and History Channel; hosting for Travel Channel, ABC and HLN; writing for AFAR Magazine and Forbes; leading a photography expedition through Morocco for Nikon; braving the Alaskan winter during production on Ice Road Truckers and Deadliest Catch; summiting Mount Kilimanjaro while on honeymoon; surviving a charging hippo on the Zambezi River; diving cage-free with bull sharks; photographing Antarctica on assignment; swimming the Arctic and Antarctic; and, learning to paraglide with a hawk as my guide.
I'm passionate about
Human stories in extraordinary conditions.
Our world's many brilliant landscapes.
Living an active lifestyle.

We’re more alike than we are different.
