Jessica currently works at SeeChange, supporting communities to organize, prepare and respond to COVID-19. Having volunteered in migrant shelters from Southern Mexico to Montreal, Jessica recently developed a volunteer program in Montreal to bring together newly arrived asylum seekers and local residents of all ages and backgrounds through weekly Welcome Sessions. Jessica also volunteers with TEDxMontrealWomen to organize events that raise consciousness and empower individuals to take action in their community. Jessica graduated with a B.A. in International Development Studies from McGill University in 2017.

Bringing diverse communities together, women empowering each other, advocating for justice and human rights for people who have been forced to flee their homes, building a narrative of solidarity and humanity.

Local communities have the solutions to address their health crises. They just need the resources to do so.
