Tyler guides Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team's strategy, vision, and global portfolio as Executive Director, using the power of digital technologies to unite and improve lives. With a diverse background leading people-focused, technology and data projects across the public, private, nonprofit, and humanitarian sectors, Tyler has worked with organizations such as the American Red Cross, United Nations, and Fortune 500 firms. In his role at HOT, Tyler serves a team of 100 global staff working alongside thousands of volunteers. Previously, Tyler led American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy New York community recovery, taught emergency management, and developed training in religious and cultural competency for FEMA.
