I am an avid learner and knowledge seeker with a deep interest in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, philosophy, cultures, strategy, and public policy. My work sits at the intersection of technology, ethics, governance, and society, with a particular focus on how artificial intelligence can be developed and governed safely, responsibly, and in ways that serve people across different social and cultural contexts. I work across AI safety, responsible AI, technology policy, and AI governance, combining research, advisory work, and practical engagement with governments, international organizations, academia, and industry. My interests span AI safety and evaluation, responsible innovation, emerging technology strategy, computational ethics, global AI governance, and the implications of advanced technologies for security, development, institutions, and society. More broadly, I am interested in understanding how transformative technologies emerge, how institutions and societies respond to them, and how thoughtful strategy, policy, and innovation can shape their long-term impact.

- AI safety is not only about future superintelligence; it is about the systems already shaping people’s lives. - Africa should help define the global AI safety agenda, not merely adapt to one designed elsewhere. - AI governance must reflect the societies in which AI is deployed.

My TED journey started in 2009 when I was introduced to TED videos. Since then, I have volunteered and worked with TEDx teams across Africa, particularly TEDxCalabar where I served in the team as Project/Event Manager, Licensee and lead organizer for TEDx University of Johannesburg 2019, 2020, 2021.
