Keynote speaker and author of “Engineering Paradise: Are You Ready?” Though my primary focus is speaking and consulting, I am also a Certified Master Entrepreneur Facilitator & Coach, a Delegate of the World Future Society and a Director of the Canadian Institute of Mass Communication. In addition, I currently write for the online publication "Data Driven Investor". I’ve been around the block a few times in the last 20 years. I started with university degrees in biochemistry, chemical engineering and education. I taught high school, college and university. I’ve started multiple technology and interactive digital media businesses; and have been on advisory boards, board of directors and more. I’ve worked as a consultant, coach and/or entrepreneur with dozens of organizations and hundreds of entrepreneurs. I help start-up business ventures get started. I’ve also been volunteering for most of those years for social causes I believe in. I'm always looking for more speaking engagements, more business opportunities in line with the "Futurist Mindset" (from the World Future Society) and more occasions to teach.

We have the knowledge and technology today to eliminate poverty, empower citizens, reduce government spending, give people free healthcare & education and give people the opportunity to chase after any destiny they may desire. I can’t wait for the next great thing to happen in the world; and it’s happening right now! Scientific and technological advancements bring a wealth of opportunities to bring Humans together as a collective. We can use them everyday to work together for a common universal goal: Have rich amazing fulfilling lives. Our world can be transformed by deploying more blockchain and artificial intelligence solutions, empowering citizens and giving them the means to take care of themselves and their families. We can use basic income to relieve economic pressures and provide a springboard for anyone wishing to improve themselves and their community. We can use genetic engineering techniques like gene editing to cure aging and any genetic disease known to man. We know this. All we need is the courage to get started and design a better future for ourselves!

I have been a fan of TED talks most of my adult life. I watch TED or TEDx videos regularly when they come up on my YouTube channel. I've only recently become aware of the TEDx licensing program, so with some business friends of mine we applied for a license to make TEDxOttawa in 2018. Unfortunately, our application was denied because there was another TEDxOttawa with more experience that had already applied. Therefore, myself and a few of our team joined with the existing TEDxOttawa team of volunteers. We just had a great event with a sold out theater of 700 people in October 2018. 6 great speakers were there who did a great job. One of my dreams is to one day speak about my hope for the future at TED, or a TEDx event somewhere. I'd like to rally people into joining me in the effort to create a great world for ourselves, leveraging what we know and the amazing technologies at hand.
